Remembrance

As part of the remembrance commemorations in 2018, the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, a group of people in Cumbernauld knitted and sewed hundreds of poppies which were then used to adorn the Old Parish Church on Remembrance Sunday that year. They were too good to be used only once, so they are brought out each year and draped over our three galleries.

I was down at the church early this morning and grabbed a few photos before most of the congregation arrived. Still an amazing tribute in my opinion.
