The other reason we are in Long Beach is to watch our daughter row in the San Diego Crew Classic next weekend. This morning, because we had a car from our passport adventure yesterday, I agreed to drive her to practice at 5:30 a.m. I returned to pick her up a little early so I could get shots of her rowing singles. The early morning light is very flat and it is still pretty dark at 7:15 so I did not get the crisp water flying shots I wanted. Instead I captured her and her reflection working hard up and down the course. I can't wait to see her compete next weekend. Hopefully the lighting in San Diego will be a little more dynamic.
