Too popular

When we first put up our little bug hotel, it was quite a long time before it was discovered and began to be occupied. We were so pleased to see it in use, and wondered who had hidden themselves behind the little sealed doors. Sadly, we were not the only ones who were curious, and it wasn’t long before the magpies were ripping it to bits in their search for a tasty morsel. To begin with we were able to find the emptied tubes and slot them back in, but now very many have completely disappeared. Oh well, it was a nice idea!
