The Net

This bronze sculpture by David Annand reflects Fraserburgh's proud history as a fishing port. The fish represent the species of fish usually caught by Broch boats. They are entwined in the shape of the closed 'cod end' of a trwaler's net. The sculpture has recently been relocated from the town centre to the Esplanade.

The extra continues the Book Week theme and is a reminder of how perilous an occupation fishing can be.
