Corn Marigold

An unexpected and cheering clump of corn marigolds brightening a dull afternoon. Along with red clover, sneeze wort and ox- eye daisies they are slightly battered survivors of recent gales and grow in a wild flower meadow planted on poor quality land by the developers of a housing estate. The find dictated the extra which continues the Book Week theme and is an exquisitely illustrated guide to wildflowers.
