Wigtown Remembrance

Went for a walk through the town, past the war memorial shown here with its knitted poppies presumably done for Remembrance Sunday, and then along the edge of the mudflats to the old harbour and the local bird hide. Saw three Little Egrets - one out in the distance on the saltmarsh and a couple flying around near the hide. There were also plenty of ducks out on the water, including Wigeon, Teal and a couple of splendid male Shovelers, doing their shoveling thing.
