Micromoon In Eclipse

The full moon rising in a clear sky. The eclipse was partial. At its height a thin sliver of white light appeared at the edge of the top right quadrant. By that time it was fully dark and the whole moon was visible, but because it was so small (near apogee, furthest from the earth) I didn’t attempt to photograph it, content to just gaze at it through small binoculars. It was not red, but a soft cream with a hint of rose opposite the white sliver, and it seemed translucent like fine bone china. It was utterly beautiful.
