Moonset of the Micromoon

After a late night watching last night’s lunar eclipse I woke just in time to see the moon setting near Castle Hill Peak. It seemed very small, partly because it is the furthest from Earth at this time, and because the mountains are further away from here than the hills I usually capture it on.

The extra shot is the wider scene, taken a couple of minutes earlier. The clouds high over the mountains were rather spectacular.

My moonset collection.
