Loch Turret Reservoir

With the temperature hovering just above freezing there was no point in pretending this Easter Sunday was a time for gardening or other outdoor leisure activities. So, it was on with the thermals, woolly hats, and off to the mountains.

We headed two miles north of Crieff to Loch Turret reservoir, nothing too demanding or dangerous, more a brisk walk around.

This reservoir is the source of our water supply in central Scotland and also provides the water for the Glenturret distillery, the oldest in Scotland, established in 1775.

We just made it back to their Visitors centre in time for tea and cakes.
