Life through the lens...

Rodley Nature Reserve

Oh what a beautiful morning, but oh so much colder!
Still we got well wrapped up and have enjoyed a very pleasant morning at Rodley Nature Reserve, near Leeds.
Seems ages since we have been there.
The sun was so bright, and low in the sky at this time of year. Made it difficult to see, and even worse for photography, but so much better than a dull dismal day.

Not a lot of birds about apart from the seagulls, and dozens of geese.
We did however see a green sandpiper, brambling, and flock of linnets. Took a few photos but not very good, so have done a collage of some of the other photos.
Two things I particularly liked were the sunlight on the reeds, and to see the hazel catkins.
Temperature actually reached 7C but the breeze.was icy.
Winter here we come!
