Tangled

Sunday means a longish lie. Read a review of a book about time/weeks. It rightly pointed out that the 7 day week is an artificial construct (Bible) unlike other time periods that are based on things like the phases of the moon. Apparently Japan didn't adopt the 7 day week till late 19th century. Covid has made Monday - Sunday seem even more artificial.

It was cold today. After making broth, freezing lentil soup and windfalls and doing the limited ironing I have to do it was coffee next door. Then I was going to go out but decided it was too cold (wimp!). Finally read the Sim Family book produced by Alan in NZ and then after some sleuthing tracked down a Sim cousin in law, S. Turns out she now living in Church Hill nae Aberdeen. And she's now a Doric poet.

Spent ages trying to untangle the favourite string of pearls. Almost there. Also mended the glass candle holder. Not quite the Repair Shop.

And tomorrow is Monday, day 1 of 7!
