Cygnet

Not sure if this one is still considered a cygnet. It and the parents were further down the harbour on my walk to the beach, but on my way back they were closer and I managed to get a couple of mediocre shots. It's great to have them here again for the winter. A mix of sun and cloud and a bit chilly, but perfect for a walk that I definitely needed today.
Extra: the temporary repairs mean that the road to our place is open for local traffic only, and no big trucks are allowed. So far the repairs are holding up well. The province has put restrictions on gas and travel but apparently there are still long lineups at some stations. Some of the main roads have reopened and supplies can get through. The main road to the interior is still closed though and might be for several months.
We're getting our booster jags tomorrow on Vancouver Island. We couldn't find any available bookings here. We wouldn't travel off island unless it was absolutely necessary and we don't want to miss the appointments.
