The Big Match

The day started bright but bitterly cold, then clouded over and was still bitterly cold. The wind from the east had increased and created a wind chill factor of VERY LOW.

We went in search of the Sunday papers and coffee and holed up in the club with both. After lunch we travelled over to Dawlish to see Colin who supplied tea and cake whilst Pete and Tom listened to the Villa - Liverpool match; Tom despondent with the result, Pete celebratory!

Later we all went off to The Ship at Cockwood for tea. The old, small pub was crowded as ever but we had a table booked, as there was eight of us - we met Ann's relations and friends - and had a great meal washed down with pints of Sharp's Doom Bar sat before a cracking open fire which kept us all toasty.

I didn't take many photos today, as my fingers kept freezing over, but I snapped this of the two boys as they were listening to the match, and showing, especially for JaneW, the Easter cake we had :)
