The Treasures We Find

On our walk this morning, Fletch and I found this plant by the side of the street. Fletcher's first inclination was, of course, to 'water' it but I pulled him away so I could take a closer look. I have no idea what they are. All three of my ID apps call it an 'American Aster'. That effectively narrows it down to...too many possibilities to count. It's flowers are tiny, maybe .5 in (12.7mm) in diameter. Over the next few days I'll watch for it's flowers to go to seed or maybe I'll carefully dig it up and transplant it to our yard. No one will care because it's growing right at the edge of the street. Hidden Treasures are out there, we just need to keep our eyes open to the possibilities. :)
