Wound up in Wexford

By Neatwithice

The next project

I haven't previously tackled any patchwork, so thought that this might be an easy introduction.  It's a kit with all the small squares and the pieces of white for background precut.  So someone else has done the difficult job of selecting lots of material with different patterns and colours and deciding that they'll all look good together.

I "just" have to fasten them all together.  It comes with backing material and wadding, and detailed instructions for making it up into a mini quilt.  As anyone who does patchwork will know, the rub comes in making the seams all the same width, so that it all fastens together neatly.  Once made, it could perhaps be hung, or used as a decorative mat.

I didn't get any further than laying out the pieces for the tree today (and I may rearrange some of the pieces after seeing this photo) - but that was after I had tidied away all the stuff from the previous project.
