Gulls

Today has been better than Tuesday, not because I slept better but somehow I dug up some energy reserves and got myself going.

The day's highlight was a walk in West Wemyss. The village and the beach are quiet at this time of year, and more so midweek. For much of the time the only sounds were the waves on the shore and the occasional seabird.

On my way back to the car I came upon a convention of black headed gulls - with a juvenile herring gull (or maybe it's common gull) gatecrashing the event.
