It's a Journey....

Spring in Minnesota 1

The Crow River runs right through the center of Watertown. During the winter the river is frozen and used by snowmobilers. One sign of spring is the ice flowage down the river. The ice flowage is fun to watch from the bridge if you are able to catch it. I took this photo today because I am thinking that we will miss the flowage tonight or tomorrow.

The bridge in this photo was originally a railroad bridge. It is now part of the Luce Line State Trail, used for walking, biking, snowmobiling and as a horse trail. Watertown has a city celebration each summer called Rails to Trails. More about that in July.

My journal plans for April are to document spring finally returning to Minnesota. We'll see how this shot looks at the end of the month!
