The Morro Bay

The Morro Bay is a US Coastguard Cutter that has been breaking ice on Lake Superior, clearing an opening for the large ships to get out of Duluth. She needed to be towed back to the Duluth Harbor for repairs after being damaged. I heard a report that the cutters are breaking through eight feet of ice.

We have had a relaxing few days during our little getaway. Arrived home this afternoon to 55 degrees and sunshine. 250 miles south of where we were this morning and it really feels like spring has arrived.
