YORKSHIREBRED

The old and the new

Community choir this afternoon, and we went through all the songs we are due to sing at 2 light Christmas light switch ons at the weekend, plus a couple of songs for other gigs.  All went well, but it seems the weather will be against us.  With a storm heading in, the threat of snow on Saturday afternoon seems to have abated, as it is now just forecast for Friday night, but winds up to 52mph are causing concern as there will be a large Christmas tree and numerous stalls in the area where we will be standing. Our choir leader is concerned about flying debris and the fact that it may be a very cold day.  We’ll await an update.  Decided to do some shopping after choir so walked down to town and then had just 5 minutes before the bus was scheduled.  I waited on the railway bridge and saw one of the town’s old chimneys set against the modern houses in the background - only chance of a blip today.  There was a very cold breeze standing  there, and the bus was then 20 minutes late!  Was frozen by the time I got home!
