Power Lines

View from the skylight of my little workroom.  One day in the not too distant future, those cables will disappear into the underground, and when the pylons go, the value of real estate in this area will rise.  Shot this when the sun finally broke through the clouds.  A deception, actually, as there was a thick layer of grey covering most of the country.

A new MOOC on Mary, Queen of Scots, and I think it will be a fascinating but also very tragic story.  In the meantime, life in these pandemic times goes on.  The flowers in the summer meadows and the Antarctic penguins, and so much more of nature... all uncomplaining.  Humans aren't the best role models for adaptation, endurance, and perseverance at the moment.  There is always a reason for some positivity, even on the greyest of days.  To give a concrete example -- our kitchen tiles arrived today!  I picked them up straight away.  We're now waiting for a call from the tegelzetter.  I hope his agenda will have some space this year.
