Brrr, yesterday was cold, l had so many clothes on l could hardly walk! I popped out to the supermarket and delivered a present around to a friend and then stayed very firmly inside. This group of bracket funghi is hidden away in a hollow of one of the trees in the park, l have been keeping an eye on it and l don't think it is going to grow anymore.
I snuggled up on the sofa and have started reading a book written by a friend of mine about her experiences of coming to live in the UK from Pakistan in the 1970s - the same time as me. Although we came from vastly different backgrounds there are similarities in our experiences, not least the shock of the English winter!
