After the storm.

Storm Arwen hit us during the night.
Eastern Scotland and north east England had a Met Office Red wind warning. The first for five years.
Luckily on our side of the country it was an Amber warning. The next level down.

It was still quite a blow.
My main blip shows that it brought the first snow of the winter. Up on the hills. The best place for it for us oldies. View
from our upstairs window.

By breakfast time the wind had dropped enough for us to make some deliveries in the neighbouring village of
Silverdale.
First extra shows the local fire brigade volunteers securing a roof where the gales had blown off tiles which fell onto
parked cars and the pavement.
Many trees in the area were brought down and they blocked some roads. Second extra shows an example.

Only limited damage in our garden. Lost one fence trellis. Unfortunately we had left a greenhouse window open. The wind
got in and the pressure pushed out a plastic panel. Now repaired.
