Tree and Church

Bitterly cold wind today and we woke to a light covering of sleety snow.  It still felt like a day for venturing out on a short walk so we got the map out.  Eekkk!  Not a normal thing for us at all.  The church in the shot is the closest to where we live and we knew that there was a path going off into the fields behind the church.  We discovered that it was a short walk up the path to a reservoir and then onwards out across the fields.  We wrapped up warm  and set off!  Boy was it cold across the field!  Anyway, this was a shot looking back.  We ventured as far as the reservoir and then couldn't really decide where the onward path went and as it was so cold we decided to try again another day.  Not very brave are we?  But we did venture in fields new and stretched our legs.

I am still sewing on name labels.  I need to get some suet for my Christmas puddings...
