The Annual Holiday Flotilla

An event in Wilmington on the Saturday following Thanksgiving.  Jon and I decided to see what this was all about a few weeks ago so we made a reservation at a restaurant on the Intracoastal Waterway to watch the parade of decorated boats (yachts too).  We scored a table indoors by a window where we could have dinner and watch the parade.  It was a fun atmosphere, the food was very good and the few boats we saw (about a half dozen) were well decorated, but we expected there to be more.  Expectations are a funny thing.  There was a deck outside our window and heaters and a hot chocolate bar there if you wanted to watch from outside. I went out to take a few pictures but the view was perfect from indoors.  Matthew our waiter was super, all in all a good evening.

Stopped by the house earlier and happy to see it is mostly completed with some minor details to be attended to.  I think I'm going to like my new kitchen (extra). The Master bedroom is behind and to the left of where this was taken and that's the front door down the hallway on the right.  It will all take some getting used to, but I have a good feeling about it.  All those little pieces of blue tape are spots that need to be touched up. Not sure about the big X on the ceiling though.

Ben has had some callbacks on job interviews. Hoping next week will see things shaping up a bit more for him.
