Should've

Thankfully this was the only obvious 'victim' of the storm. We meant to put the bench away and forgot but luckily the pots that usually flank it DID get moved a couple of weeks ago so no damage done.

Today was a lot calmer than we expected. Events that I was hoping to be involved in were cancelled, perhaps unnecessarily in hindsight but very sensibly in the moment. So we started (again) on the seemingly never ending task of moving objects from one place to another, this time out of the new shed, where stuff had been 'temporarily' stored, into the new dry space at the back of an outbuilding. We now have 3 sets of old golf clubs (our beginner sets - expensive enough to be reluctant to ditch them), a couple of golf bags and a golf trolley to dispose of, with other paraphernalia strewn on the dry room floor. It's hard parting a (Yorkshire)man from things that might possibly be useful one day!

It was still bitterly cold outside. Although the wind had died down it was still active and I escaped for a minute or two (aka an hour) into my new hidey hole to fiddle around arranging things on the new shelves. Memories of happy times made solid. There's still more to go in there. Maybe I should have LH logging how often I've used various objects and suggesting I get rid of them, in the same way I did for him!
