Wintery

A cold night and day and now it is snowing again.
We enjoyed a variation on a walk from home this morning. The snow and ice made walking heavy going and quite difficult at times. The views were stunning with whiteness of the snow broken by the dark lines of the stone walls. The early sun was fading fast and the dark snow clouds were gradually spreading in from the north. The disappearing sun lit up the clouds on the horizon to the east. This image was taken just before midday on my phone and the poorer quality is due to maximise the digital zoom to focus on the light in that part of the sky. Stanley had a very enjoyable time diving into the snow and chasing in circles picking up the scent of hares.
