What's in a name?

I was interested a few days ago in a blip by Mezcal featuring a plant called Desert Rose. Until then, the only desert rose I knew was a very different plant, Sturt's Desert Rose, the floral emblem of the Northern Territory in Australia. Today, when walking in to the village, I came across Mezcal's plant flowering in a neighbour's garden - Adenium obesum, which is native to Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.

What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet

Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare
