Whit noo? Some new variant of coronavirus. Oh Lordy. Being an expert, I’ll tell you there’s no need to panic. Too late. The health panjandrums get excited; the spotlight swivels back. The radio and print journalists seek them out. The politicians step into the limelight. Something must be done.

One of the changes is that we’re back to PCR tests on day two after travel and self isolation until you get the results. And bah, that puts a bit of a hole below the waterline in my little Christmas break to Gdansk. Home of the famous maritime museum.
