Water Rail at Slimbridge

Sheol and I spent the day wandering around Slimbridge WWT, putting the world to rights and seeking out something Blipworthy. 

The sun was low and bright as we watched this water rail and assorted garden birds (and a rat) play in the margins of a small pond. 

As the sun dropped and the light disappeared we returned to the car - only to find it was only just after three! Oh, my, only nineteen days to Solstice...
