Visited the always interesting Anglia Potters Christmas exhibition with a potter friend today. Today’s blip is an exhibit I especially liked by Pauline Lee, just a few ceramic bells hanging from a twig. They reminded me more of snowdrops than bells.

The show is held in the beautiful All Saints church in Jesus Lane, Cambridge. The building was derelict for about 30 years until maybe 10 years ago when its completed renovation was revealed to the world. The interior is an eye popping example of Arts and Crafts design, with stained glass by William Morris, Burne-Jones and Ford Maddox. But even better are the heavily decorated walls and ceiling. Literally every surface is painted, stencilled or gilded, there are rich colours and intricate patterns everywhere you look. It’s really worth a visit. Find out more here:
