December Reflections: Best Day of 2021

This was a tough one because, despite this year being only marginally better than the shitstorm which was 2020, I've had lots of good days and many happy memories. For some reason this day though, on May 6th, just stands out.

It was beautiful in Somerset, warm and sunny, and we booked (because of Covid restrictions) to go to Cleeve Abbey. We had the place all to ourselves. Afterwards we went for an excellent coffee at Torres Cider Farm just down the road from the abbey.

In the evening we had a drive out to Porlock Weir, such a pretty & photogenic place. The 'Golden Hour' light was beautiful and this jackdaw posed very nicely for me.

Ace weather, ace place, ace company. So because of all that aceness I chose this day for my Best Day of 2021 :-)
