This is my entry for today's 'December Reflections' that I'm taking part in on Instagram.

I’ve read some brilliant books this year but the one that had the biggest impact on me was South Riding by Winifred Holtby.

Had a little play about with a portrait of Winifred Holtby (see extra) for today’s picture… I quite like the result.

It’s a very powerful novel and beautifully written.
