Through Jo's Lens

Portmerion

That's where we headed today after taking Hovis for his morning run on the beach. There was sunshine but it was still very cold.

I brought the boys here in 2008 and it seemed very magical as they were smaller and more into hidey holes...of which there are plenty. They could remember parts of it but it was still interesting for them to explore the gardens/woods/towers. It is a unique place to visit and I really like it. The buildings were built to look like an Italian village in the 1920s, being the idea of Clough Williams-Ellis who loved Italy so much that he wanted to recreate a taste of it in Wales.

We spent about three hours there and then got a chippy tea on the way back to the Wigwam. Ended the evening playing Monopoly and Connect Four. Can't beat it.
