Something’s Missing

Irritatingly I noticed a small piece of wire sticking out of one of the car’s tyres a week ago.  It seemed quite insignificant but was right on the edge of the tyre, so I pulled it out.  Within a couple of days I was getting a low pressure warning so I took it to the local tyre bay.

Today they replaced it as the puncture was too close to the tyre wall to repair.  While they were putting it on the wheel I took this photo of the gubbins that is normally out of sight
