Chester

Well what an eventful day woke to a really windy damp day but never mind fueled up by a full English and wrapped up warm we set of for the city of Chester for the Christmas market which was a little bit disappointing as there weren't many stalls but never mind we enjoyed it H and A wanted to go and look around the shops but me and M decided to visit the Christmas Tree Festival in the cathedral so glad we did it was lovely with some super trees (especially the ones by the schools) giving me and M some ideas for decorations for the children to make. We then met up with H and A and drove to Cheshire Oaks the retail park we arrived just as the heavens opened luckily most of the shops were under cover so we managed to stay dry after a little bit of window shopping and lots of people walking around with lots of designer named bags and there was me with my £1 Christmas sprouts bag from the Works we made our over to Prezzo for our meal before heading to Chester Zoo for their lanterns it was still raining but we hoped it would dry up a little bit so we could take pictures we had got our drinks and were waiting to order when there was a bit of Kerfuffle and all the staff seemed to be either ignoring us or dashing around turns out the rain had made the kitchen roof collapse so they couldn't provide meals a quick look on the internet and we managed to get a table at Chiquita's so off we went what a shock when we got out it was white over from a hailstorm. After our meal we headed to Chester Lanterns what a disappointment not what we expected and we were there less than an hour but never mind back to our monastery house Christmas lights on the log burner blazing, Prosecco and chocolates left by the owners and board games before bed wish I could stay here longer. Loving my weekend away.
