Christmas Dining Train

Apologies for the poor quality phone photo, but as I was walking in Sheringham Park with H and rain was forecast, I thought it sensible not to take my camera. At least you can see the nice colour contacts. All being well, I’ll be having a Christmas meal on this train with G and M in 2 weeks time.

Day 629 / Day 140 of Step 4 of Roadmap Easing (for my record only)
The UK is reporting 246 cases of the Omicron variant today, up 50% on yesterday. 48 of those cases are in Scotland. The UKHSA said yesterday evening that Omicron could narrow the window between infection and infectiousness (already reported in South Africa that people show symptoms sooner with Omicron). As a result, last night it was announced that mandatory pre-departure tests are required from Tuesday for all UK arrivals which should be taken close to the scheduled departure and no more than 48 hours before travelling. Nigeria was also added to the red list from 4am Mon. More than 20m in the UK have now had their booster shot.
