Here we go again

The collage is made up of 6 video screenshots uploaded thankfully on the day to another social media site, and thus saved my bacon as all the stills I had taken were deleted from the phone. Still have to do two more days before I can finally revert to saved phone & camera shots.

Our vet, or at least today his assistant, here in the morning to treat a knock our Welsh pony probably did herself. For several years, we hadn't used him after he got too big and too remote and overtaxed to the point of arrogance and rudeness. He had been our horse vet since 1990 when he was doing his apprenticeship in the south west Munich area and apart from I think 5 years we had by law to move away from the area he had trained in before being allowed back to set up his own business, always did our horses.

Things have changed, he's back to the old young charming guy and still remains a real horse specialist. We got him back after Sultan, the grey, was clearly having breathing problems, and we couldn't get it sorted, not even by a clinic where we took him to have specialist examination of his lungs and airwaves. All they did was confirm the worst but instead of treating him there and then just prescribed some powder to put in his food.

So, Dr Nebe was called & he has said Sultan needs a Lung wash or rather a series of them in a clinic and done over at least a week. He doesn't have a clinic himself and recommended one we know at Starnberg just south of Munich and the richest place in Germany where all the VIPs live. So we can expect a bill to fit! He did actually directly address the cost issue, although we didn't ask - yes, it was worth it and Sultan was otherwise in too good a shape to have him put down.

So as the vet was coming early, Luna and I did the morning walk, past the lovely farmhouse in the village, looking great in autumn. My still close up of the decorations got lost, sadly. Then we met one of Luna's associates who she tolerates very well, but in fact because she knew something was afoot at home and wasn't interested in the walk or anything else. Simply wanted to get home and make sure the herd was kept together.

Patiently she kept an eye on things as Angie cleaned up Sultan for his week's Spa holiday, then loaded him into the trailer, which he does brilliantly alone after Angie did a special "loading" course. And off they set.

Luna and I also did a lovely evening walk in Ottobeuren, but I have lost the patience to find and do any more screenshots.

The sequence is from Top Left, clockwise.
