An ordinary life....

The Watermill...

Bookshop and cafe in Aberfeldy.  A most wonderful place :-)

We have settled into a lovely little routine.  Woodland or riverside walk for Lola in the morning (physio exercises, shower and crochet for me :-) a leisurely lunch then an activity in the afternoon.

Today's activity for Agnes and I was to visit Karelia House, which is owned and run by the family who own the lodge.

Agnes has become slightly obsessed with crochet in the last couple of days (my work there is done :-)) and was keen to buy some yarn to get started on a project (she's been learning to crochet using my left over yarn from Anna's blanket) and of course I need no excuse to buy yarn.  We headed round to the shop while the guys went to buy some supplies for Lola and us.

After a very enjoyable time browsing all the beautiful yarn I settled on three 400g balls of a chunky cosy acrylic wool mix in a pale grey, blue and dusky pink.  Agnes chose two balls of the same yarn in the dusky pink and cream.  We were just about to pay for them when David and Adrian appeared so we paid for the yarn and treated ourselves to coffee and some of the delicious homemade cake on offer in the shop.

We then headed to Aberfeldy.  Dropped Agnes and Adrian at the Watermill Bookshop while D and I went to Homer the lovely shop adjacent to the Watermill (their furniture shop is on Bank Street)  We've been collecting their Nordic Sea range of crockery for a few years, buying a little more on each visit to Aberfeldy.  Today we added dinner plates and side plates.

Picked Agnes and Adrian up.  It was a cold, damp, freezing evening so we headed back to the cosy lodge for a G&T, fajitas for dinner, crochet and a movie.

I think I can say we are all very relaxed :-)
