A Time Of Quiet Reflection

The colours of sunrise were muted this morning and didn't last long but they looked good reflected in the river. It was a great morning for birds, if not for photographing them - little egrets, a heron, kingfishers, a cormorant, lots of little garden birds - and a bullfinch which dropped onto the road briefly just as I was leaving to go home!

Little Egret in my b&w journal

This afternoon was the funeral of my friend who was taken from us so quickly by covid. Despite the sadness, it was a lovely service.

Thanks very much for everything for yesterday!
