Roadworks

I doubt anyone is ever pleased to see their route slowed down by roadworks but I’ve been extremely pleased to see these ones!

They are finally putting in some drains on this road which regularly floods. Unsuspecting pedestrians get soaked by passing cars as they drive through huge puddles.

I wrote to the council earlier this year about it, including adding some photos ( which I probably blipped)
No idea if my email had any bearing on these works or not but I’m so pleased to see the work being done.
I even stopped to thank the workmen the other day.
One of them looked thoughtful and gloomily replied, “If it works!”

Well, I really really hope so, time will tell….
