Ice and Fire

The tree is decorated, the cards are written, the pastry for the mince pies is chilling in the fridge. 

So is a bottle of cava ... Friday nights are Fizz nights.  Another quiet weekend in store for us. 

Not so for the Burley  Bunch who will be celebrating C's 9th birthday with a girly get-together - make-up,  manicures and karaoke. I think we were still happy with pass-the-parcel when I was 9.  M says he'll be taking the dog out .

We went out around 3.30 to post the cards. I stopped near Mossburnford to blip the sunset. The water on the road was already freezing - I had to be careful while slithering around trying to take a picture.
