It's starting to.......

Feel like Christmas.

Things have been a bit hectic here, as we decided that we would paint our condo before Christmas. It sounds simple, but when you only have a living area, a bedroom, bathroom and kitchen you suddenly realise there is nowhere to put everything. Still we are now almost done, just the kitchen left. We will decorate in there on Wednesday. I will then put up my Christmas decorations.

Life here is returning to normal. Many restaurants are now allowed to serve alcohol, providing that all staff members have been vaccinated and that there is plenty of ventilation. However, diner's can only stay in the restaurant for one hour. How this is to be policed is unclear. Clocks on each table has been suggested. Can you imagine eating your Christmas dinner in one hour only. Perhaps our Christmas pudding will be served in takeaway containers. Most places we go to have said that they think this is stupid. It is unclear when the hour runs from, when you walk through the door, when you place your order or when the food arrives. I just can't imagine only have one hour to get through the two, occasionally three course meal we have at the Italian restaurant that we go to. He has an excellent wine cellar and we are looking forward to enjoying wine with our meals again.

This Christmas tree is in a restaurant that we visit a lot, it specialises in English and Thai food. They are now allowed to sell us alcohol. As you can see the front of the restaurant is open and there is also a garden area at the back, there are no doors. The kitchen is upstairs. We will come here for our Christmas Dinner, we've already booked a table.

I hope that you are all keeping well and safe. I also hope that the new strain of virus does not mean that Christmas is cancelled again. As yet we have escape this one, but I am sure it will turn up here soon.
