Some Animals are More Equal

There were a herd of them in a field of oak trees by the side of the very bumpy lane that Mike took as a shortcut from São Pedro, and thought I'd have time to mess about with exposure and composition, when suddenly some extremely noisy off-road bikes roared past, and the pigs all galloped off under the trees, so you get Napoleon here, the leader of the pack.

Spent most of the day, beginning early, going with Ulla-Margreth (never knew it was that before!) and Göran to the hospital in Évora, to translate for her in an appointment there. They then took us out for lunch at a huge sushi (and other things) place - really good, and the conversation flowed; they are such interesting people.

Gratefuls:
- being able to be a help to someone, that felt so good
- their great attitude at the long delays
- superb sushi

Btw, if you're fed up with the bad news, read this (some of you will have had the email, it's worth clicking on the link and reading), which had me in tears, moved by the generosity of so many.
