Wound up in Wexford

An oak tree in mid December .....

.... should surely have lost more leaves than this?

We left the house as the first viewers were arriving, and went to Ashwellthorpe Woods.  We had a lovely walk round but I was lacking in the urge to take photos - this was the very first photo I took as we walked along the path into the woods from the car park, and very nearly the only one.

Our oak tree has almost no leaves left - many of them ended up in the pond and had to be scooped out!

There's plenty of evidence of storm damage - many fallen or leaning trees in the woods - but neither Arwen nor Barra have managed to clear this tree of its leaves.  Odd.

After our walk, we had a pleasant drive cross country down roads we hadn't used before, to reach a garden centre where we had a late lunch.  No poinsettias on sale, so no purchases.

And arrived home as the last viewers were leaving the house and setting off to see our garden - according to the agent, a couple of very promising viewings today - but we'll wait and see if they put their money where their mouth is.  Very lucky with the weather today - fine, though dull, all day, but as the agent left the house, it started to rain.
