Swanbister Beach

Firstly I must say sorry for not submitting a Blip yesterday.  Secondly congratulations to Andrea who spotted the mistake on my Blip of the 7th.

Today started with a quick canter around Swanbister Bay and back via the village.  Back at HQ CMC made a batch of pancakes.  Just as we sat down Dougal arrived on his bike.  He’s been away visiting his mother in Limekilns, so we had a catch up.

I got to thinking of the bonhomie of Rose Wild.  It seems natural – a forever welcoming, warming blanket of reassurance.  Not the ersatz bonhomie of her stand in.  The stand in bonhomie has to be simmered after coming out of the freezer or reconstituted in a drop of water from its desiccated form.  I’m not sure it’s good to get these things out into the open.

Tonight we are taking the Foubisters out for a meal at the Merkister.  Then it’s back home once more to my monastic life of sipping tea and reading Vasily Grossman.
