Black headed gulls

A quick visit to Spike Island this morning was met by the multitude of black headed gulls that frequent the area. At the moment there is apparently a big problem with bird flu with some of the resident swans and geese dying, which is so sad. I’m not sure we will be visiting there until it passes as we don’t want to spread it anywhere else. 

This afternoon we have been watching the “Decider in the Desert” which was the last Formula One Grand Prix of the season. It was nothing but exciting and enthralling the whole way through with different strategies and of course incidents that will be talked about for years to come. 
Well done to Max Verstappen for winning his first Championship , but I’m afraid I don’t agree with the way in which it finished - he was handed it on a plate. I think Lewis was quite dignified in defeat but I’m not sure we’ve heard the last of it from Mercedes….to be continued….maybe?
