Party Poppers

It was the allotment holders annual Christmas lunch this afternoon. We were apprehensive about attending with all the anxiety surrounding the Omnicrom variant.

However, we felt reasonably comfortable as we’re all of a certain age and all triple jabbed. We were in our own room separate from the main pub and we were sitting at the end of the table next to an open window.

So, that’s Christmas lunch No 2 eaten. On balance better than the one last Tuesday with the exception of my thimble of soup with a slice of white own brand bread. I made up for it by having a spare choux bun pudding that was surplus to requirements.

Some talk about the ongoing allotment takeover saga; not too much to spoil the occasion.
