After the Bakhoos

Here we are on our way from the house of the leaking sewage, to the self-catering place we've been offered for a few days. Stressed to the eyeballs, we stopped for food retail therapy. Bakhoos is a new craft bakery in Fortrose and, as Michelin has it, vaut le détour. But watch out for the limited opening hours.

Coffee needs drinking hot so we sat by the harbour in an odd light, munching naughty pastry, licking our wounds. At the very bottom of the slipway is an oystercatcher, working ferociously away at something the low tide has revealed under the concrete. Probably a colony of lugworms, which do take heroic effort to get out. You will have to zoom the image to the max to see it but trust me, it's there.
