Forest Grazing

The traditional grazing cattle in Epping Forest are free to wander around, kept in by a transponder thing on a collar around their necks. Having approached them a few times they aren't as scary as they look. Mind you, I didnt try getting too close. It was certainly a surprise to see them grazing in the brambles and forest undergrowth today.

I wouldn't have seen them but my trusty assistant, Ron, gave a shout as we were going past. They were surprisingly well camouflaged.
