Effervescent

Amazingly temperatures topped out at 67°F today - in December when it's normally below freezing. However, cloudy skies, flat light and wind left me wondering what to photograph.

The lake was, not surprisingly, clear of ice, but there were signs in the inlet where the water is shallow. I noticed slight water movement in the wind as it ebbed and flowed. Picking out leaves below the surface that were generally stationery and using a slow shutter, I captured the moving ice/bubbles. Low light levels enabled longer exposures, but the results were anything but predictable. Nineteen shots later, I made this one.
